About EdStart

In September 2017, EdStart celebrated its tenth anniversary of providing support to schools across Greater Manchester. Now working with children and young people from Early Years through to our apprenticeships, there is as much focus as ever on improving health, outcomes and life chances for all. Working in line with Greater Manchester’s Social Value Policy, we continue to give children the best start in life, create training and employment opportunities and support troubled young people and their families.

EdStart now employs over 60 people, and the full team comprises experts and professionals from an array of backgrounds. To support the teachers, coaches, and other professionals working directly with our young people, there are experts in HR, Health and Safety, ICT, Accounting and Finance. Most recently, EdStart has teamed up with a group of doctors from the charity ‘Our Healthy Futures’ to further improve the lifestyles of young people.
